We are a family owned business located at 8700 W. 14th Ave. in Lakewood.  Our building is one block south of Colfax on 14th between Garrison and Carr.  Our facility is equipped with multiple indoor play areas which allows us to separate dogs based on size and demeanor.  We also have a large outdoor area which is shaded by two big trees and is bordered with a 6 foot fence.  The outdoor area is separated for size and demeanor as well.

Our facility gives us the great opportunity to offer something that most daycares do not, puppy daycare.  Because of the fact that our play areas, outside and inside, are separated for size and demeanor we are able to provide a safe play environment for the little ones.  Starting socialization early is so important to help your dog develop into a confident, independent, tolerant, and well rounded pet that can play well with other dogs and people.  Having this capability helps to keep our clients at ease that their new puppy will still get  socialization and stimulation, not to mention a release of all that energy, and not be in danger of getting hurt or scared by the bigger adult dogs.

Joylise Hansen is co-owner of The Den Doggie Daycare and has been involved with animals her whole life.  She is a Certified Veterinary Technician graduating from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology.  Previous to co-owning The Den Doggie Daycare she also worked at Mesa Veterinary Hospital.  She is also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through The Association of Pet Dog Trainers.  She has trained dogs with Christine Shedron and Dr. Christine Horst for over 4 years.  On top of all her credentials she also attends behavioral and medical conferences throughout each year.  The other co-owner of The Den Doggie Daycare is Joys' brother Andrew Hansen.  He is the daycare manager and helps to run the day to day operations.
